New roles, new collections

I was asked to become the prose reviews editor for Gutter Magazine, based in Scotland, a literary magazine I have been following for years and have huge respect for. This means I’ll be looking for books, and reviewers, to review over the coming months.

I was delighted to contribute to the stunning collection, Common Treasures by Little Toller in which I wrote about the village I grew up in, Coniston, and the issue with second homes. Buy it via the above link.

We visited Sweden in the summer for part holiday, part book research. The second book is expanding but there are still many more words to write!

I will be running the Write Like a Grrrl Non Fiction writing course again this autumn which I’m really looking forward to. Check it out and join us if you’re interested in furthering your non fiction skills.

And, if you are North of England based and work in forestry, trees, climate and sustainability in any way whatsoever, you might be interested in the Northwoods Forestry Conference at which I am speaking at too. September 11th. Info above.

I have a couple more commissions to finish this autumn but always open for more!
